July the 9th 2005. Posters of Dr. John Garang de Mabior were hanging everywhere in Khartoum (Sudan). Dr. Garang is the leader of the Sudan's People Liberation Movement since 1983. Earlier in January 2005 he signed a peace agreement with the Sudanese governement and today he is returning to Khartoum for the first time since 1983. Millions of sudanese people celebrated his return and gave him a heroic welcome.
Two weeks later he died in a plane accident !!!!????
